An individual's reaction in terms of well-being towards a constructive or destructive relationship depends on who they are between the two parties.
For someone who causes most of the problems thereby the root of the destructive relationship, may or may not be bothered by it. It's hard to generalize but someone who always lies and cheats or just repeatedly breaks the conditional social contract between those who entered into relationships maybe hopeless. Such psychopaths go through these sorts of things with their well-being intact.
The other person in the destructive relationship who is unable to gather everything and standup will be bogged with stress and may have a hard time moving forward in life.
A constructive relationship is a different situation since we can assume that the people in it are both decent, patient and reasonable. The relationship will last longer if not forever because both parties are willing to settle things and truly try to avoid repeating the same mistakes. A display of genuine regret, forgiveness, and understanding from both sides will go a long way and will do wonderful things for your well-being.
